Big Brother 2 (UK) is the second season of Big Brother (UK). This is the final series to use the old house, before they moved to Elstree Studios. The series premiered on May 25, 2001 and then on July 27, 2001 Brian Dowling was crowned the winner over Helen Adams. The show was watched by million viewers. It was the most watched Big Brother ever with the Final watched by million viewers, making it Channel 4's second most watched show. Background After the first series was completed it was reported that many networks such as ITV and Channel 5 were interesting in taking over the series. However, Channel 4 would later announce a second series with casting to begin in December of 2000. 250,000 auditions were accepted for the second series compared to only 40,000 for the first. It was later announced that two new companion shows would air alongside the second season: Big Brother's Little Brother and Big Brother Reveals More that would only lasted the one series. Big Brother's Little Brother would be hosted by Dermot O'Leary. The prize remained the same this series at £70,000. Twists Reverse Public Vote: During the first week, there was no eviction. Instead, the public voted for another housemate to enter the house after the first evictee left. Josh Rafter got the most votes out of the 3 nominees. Surprise Eviction: Since there was no ejection this series, four housemates faced the final vote. However only three would make the actual final. The finalist with the least amount of votes to win would be evicted on Day 63, the day before the final. The fire had to be watched by two or more housemates at all times. £ Budget Week 2 Days 9-13 The task for this week, for all housemates, was to learn first-aid. The housemates had to treat injured “people” on the assessment day. £ Budget Week 3 Days 17-20 All the housemates were given their new task which required them to learn ten facts about their fellow housemates. £ Budget Week 4 Days 23-27 All housemates had to adopt an individual dance and perform it on request from Big Brother at any time between 8am and 2am for 5 days. Each housemate would grab a partner when instructed, and would have 20 minutes to make it to the stage. Each housemate would pick a genre, and had to be outside for that genre. Each genre of music also had a specific dance move that the participants had to perform at least three times during the dance. £ Budget Day 27 All the housemates performed a task in which they had to design hats for one another. Food and drinks Week 5 Days 30-34 All housemates had to attempt to set a new Guinness World Record by the end of the week. There were four records total that they could break, and they would perform one task each day in an attempt to break the record. They would only pass the task if they broke one or more of the records. £ Budget Week 6 Days 37-41 For this weeks task, a dog, a white poodle named Paddy, would be released into the House for four hours every day. While Paddy was in the House, they were required to teach him tricks. They randomly selected eight tricks, which were the tricks they had to teach him. They were provided with a clicker and pieces of chicken to help train Paddy. £ Budget Days 38-40 All housemates were given the task of making a soap opera based on their time in the House. Week 7 Days 44-48 All housemates were given the task to dismantle a drum kit, move it over an obstacle course, and then reassemble it. They were required to complete this task in eight minutes and fifteen seconds, otherwise they would fail the task. £ Budget Week 8 Days 51-55 All housemates were given the task of playing playground games. This included games such as skipping, riding a pogo stick, using a hula-hoop, and using a space hopper. But it was arguably schoolteacher Penny who made the biggest impression in the early days. The house-proud housemate not only massaged and kissed car designer Paul, but also let her towel slip in front of the cameras. During hairdresser Helen's birthday party, the sparks really began to fly. The oldest member of the House, Stuart, claimed he would sleep with all the girls bar Penny. The two declared war and despite appearing to make up the following morning, a sarcastic wink from Stuart to Paul revealed this wasn't the case. Week 2 Nominee 42% to Evict Helen Evicted 58% to Evict Penny The first nominations proved tough to everyone bar the feisty Narinder - "I could've nominated six people no problem!" Penny and Helen were the first up for eviction. Bubble and Brian's prank-war was in full effect, with the hat-loving housemate first stealing Brian's beloved teddy bear and then removing the slats from the Irishman's bed. An increasingly erratic Penny found it difficult to live in such an enclosed space. Venting her spleen at Narinder, Penny hissed: "They think I'm neurotic and weird? How about Bubble with his f*****g hats? He's f*****g common as muck! "I've had enough, I'm going out tomorrow. Seven b*****ds voted me out!" Penny became the first housemate voted out. Week 3 Nominee 14% to Evict Paul No sooner had Penny left, there was a shock in store for the remaining housemates as newbie Josh was introduced into the House. The handsome man was immediately fought over by girls Narinder and Helen, who then almost fell out when Helen famously misheard "classy" for "crappy". The girls were disappointed however when Josh divulged he was gay. Paul and Stuart were nominated for eviction, before a remarkable night ensued which witnessed fighting from all angles. In the pool, Amma and Stuart almost came to blows as Stuart's 'dogmatic' attitude disagreed with an emotional Amma. Separately, Brian and Josh battled it out in the lounge when Brian admitted he found Josh's presence a threat - "You are gay. You will judge me!" he two quietest, and more mature, members of the household - Dean and Elizabeth - bonded in the swimming pool as Elizabeth admitted she "wants to win". Stuart became the second housemate voted out. Week 4 The weekly task saw the group bet their lowest percentage on success so far - just 10%. The housemates were required to adopt an individual dance, and perform it on request from Big Brother anytime between and - the task lasted five days! Narinder and Paul were up for eviction, and the fiery girl was up to her usual tricks with partner-in-crime Brian. "It's not been a barrel of laughs in here," she told him. The seeds were set for future romance. Paul and Helen began to spend a great deal of time together - but bubbly Helen appeared completely oblivious to Paul's subtle flirtations. House pranks continued with the girls infiltrating the boys with a massive pillow attack, while the group entertained themselves with an impromptu tennis tournament which Josh won. Narinder became the third housemate voted out. Week 5 Nominee 47% to Evict Paul Another weekly task inspired the gang as they attempted to set official Guinness World Records. Although an enthusiastic Bubble eventually failed with his sweetcorn kernel record, Dean did succeed - by building the record breaking biggest ever sugar cube tower. Despite being nominated for the third successive week, Paul seemed unperturbed and his intimacy with Helen was causing the blonde girl concern. "You have pinned me to the bed," Paul informed her as Helen worried what her (soon-to-be-ex) boyfriend would think. Paul was up for the public vote against the loud and honest Bubble. The Chelsea supporter looked more and more nervous as Friday approached, eventually conning Brian into believing he planned to escape over the back wall - eventually he settled for sleeping in the garden den. The highlight of the week came on Elizabeth's birthday. The usually demure girl found herself naked in a hot tub along with Amma and Helen - with only Josh and Brian allowed to enter the room. Bubble also painstakingly laid out a birthday poem with stones in the garden. Bubble became the fourth housemate voted out. Week 6 Nominee 36% to Evict Paul Evicted 64% to Evict Amma Paddy was introduced to the group - no, not another housemate, but a fluffy white Bichon Freise for the weekly task. The gang were charged with teaching Paddy several tricks including 'fetching' and 'playing dead'. Paul's sleep talking reached new levels as the Reading lad was heard muttering, "Stand there... would though wouldn't you really" during early morning reverie. There was little surprise when it came to nominations. For the fourth time, Paul was up for the public vote, this time alongside Amma. Helen's feelings for her beau became clearly during the announcement as the Welsh girl squealed: "I don't want Paul to go!" Brian - having lost chums Narinder and Bubble - turned to the pragmatic Dean for kinship. The two shared a hilarious dislike of Paul, with Brian asking the Brummie: "Dean, what people relate to Paul? With all due respect, they must be 10 years of age, love Star Wars and can kick their legs really high." Meanwhile, Brian and Josh continued to fall out with Josh claiming Brian was "a child" to Amma, and Brian saying Josh took his melodramas "too seriously". Amma became the fifth housemate voted out. Week 7 Nominee 16% to Evict Helen Evicted 84% to Evict Josh Brian became known for using the catchphrase "that's evil" as he tasted various cheeses, before freaking out about putting on weight and enlisting Dean for an abdominal workout. Josh jokingly warned the increasingly close Paul and Helen that, "The whole of the outside world thinks something is going on!" Helen herself began to wise up to the situation, claiming her boyfriend (Big G): "Could have been up to anything." It was Josh and Helen's names read out for possible eviction and both seemed convinced they would be leaving. Romance in the House became a real issue as Big Brother paired the housemates off for intimate dates - Paul with Helen, Josh with Brian and Elizabeth with Dean. Josh jokingly shocked Brian by asking for a b**w-job, Paul boasted to Helen that he lived his life like an "international playboy" while Elizabeth admitted to Dean she missed getting naked. Helen and Paul decided to spend the night in the den - although both skulked off to separate beds early in the morning. Josh became the sixth housemate voted out. Week 8 Nominee 16% to Evict Helen Evicted 84% to Evict Paul During the weekly task, an assault course, Helen confessed to Paul that the famous Big G wasn't "really a boyfriend" and the word "stuff" came to be used as the pair's codeword for sex. Paul and Helen decided to spend the entire night in the den to talk about their relationship. Still worried about the presence of Helen's boyfriend, Paul decided to get the situation out in the open. "You fancy me don't you?" he asked Helen. "It's bloody obvious. And yeah, it's obvious that I fancy you." And then the unthinkable - Helen and Paul were the final two up for eviction. Paul became the seventh housemate voted out. Week 9 Unbeknown to the final four - Elizabeth, Brian, Dean and Helen - Big Brother would be evicting the housemate with the fewest votes a day early. The gang were allowed to discuss their nominations over the last nine weeks, and Helen admitted voting for Brian in Week 5 because, "he was selfish and vindictive!" Jumping out of his deck chair, Brian feigned annoyance. "But it was my birthday! You've really annoyed me!" he yelled. Brian told Dean he had no chance of winning BB. "No poof is going to win this!" he joked. And then came Thursday when Elizabeth became the final housemate voted out. Finale Winner 61% to Win out of 2 Brian Runner-Up 39% to Win out of 2 Helen 3rd Place 5% to Win out of 3 Dean Brian won Big Brother with 61% of the votes. Helen came second with 39% of the votes. Dean came third with 5% of the votes. Trivia This would end up to be the first series of the civilian version of Big Brother (UK) to not feature any ejections or walkers. By being crowned the winner, Brian Dowling is the first Irish and first openly gay housemate to win Big Brother UK. Jedna z sióstr bliźniaczek spadła ze sceny. Na ratunek rzucił jej się Filip Chajzer. Czy z Kasią wszystko w porządku? „Big Brother”. Kamil Lemieszewski wygrał drugą edycję W niedzielę 15 grudnia w Gołkowie odbyła się finałowa „Big Brother Arena” drugiej edycji reality show w TVN7. Do wielkiego finału programu „Big Brother” dotarli Kamil Lemieszewski, Wiktor Stadniczenko oraz Martyna Lewandowska. To oni walczyli o wygraną. Jako pierwszy z marzeniami o zwycięstwie musiał pożegnać się Wiktor Stadniczenko, który zajął trzecie miejsce. Dwoje najlepszych zawodników opuściło dom Wielkiego Brata wspólnie. Tym razem, inaczej niż w poprzedniej edycji, nazwisko zwycięzcy ogłoszono w studio „Big Brother Arena”. Wyniki podano głosem Wielkiego Brata. Decyzją widzów to Kamil Lemieszewski został zwycięzcą drugiej edycji „Big Brothera” w TVN7. Martyna Lewandowska zajęła drugie miejsce. 15 grudnia odbył się wielki finał drugiej edycji "Big Brothera" w TVN7. Do samego końca pobytu w domu Wielkiego Brata dotrwały tylko trzy osoby: Kamil Lemieszewski, Wiktor Stadniczenko i...Finał „Big Brother 2”. Ogromne emocje i niemałe wpadki W niedzielę wieczorem w Gołkowie emocji nie brakowało. Jak często bywa w przypadku programów nadawanych na żywo, nie obyło się też bez wpadek. Tych podczas finału „Big Brothera” było całkiem sporo. Najpierw publiczność buchnęła śmiechem, gdy mama Wiktora Stadniczenki została zapytana przez Filipa Chajzera o to, czy spotkała się już z przyszłą synową. „Chodzi o Esther, tak?” – zapytała nieco skonsternowana pani Oksana, nie mając pewności, o kogo pyta Chajzer. Kiedy w studio „Big Brother Arena” pojawiła się już dwójka najlepszych, Kamil dla rozładowania emocji zainicjował ćwiczenia przed kamerami. Sam zaczął robić pompki, Martyna natomiast rozpoczęła robienie przysiadów. To okazało się nie być najlepszą decyzją, ponieważ oczom widzów ukazała się jej bielizna. Finał „Big Brother 2”. Bolesny upadek byłej uczestniczki Kolejne nieprzewidziane w scenariuszu wydarzenie miało miejsce tuż po podaniu wyników głosowania widzów. Kiedy ogłoszono już Kamila zwycięzcą, na scenę zaproszono byłych uczestników drugiej edycji „Big Brothera”. Gdy ci szli w stronę wygranego, nagle w studio rozległ się wielki huk. Wszyscy zamarli. Wkrótce obecni w studio zdali sobie sprawę z tego, co się wydarzyło. Katarzyna Strojek, jedna z bliźniaczek uczestniczących w „Big Brotherze”, spadła ze sceny. Na ratunek od razu rzucił jej się Filip Chajzer. Wszystko trwało zaledwie sekundy i wyglądało bardzo dramatycznie. Mocno zaskoczone i zszokowane Gabi Drzewiecka i Małgorzata Ohme dopytywały ze sceny, czy Kasi nic się nie stało. Ta niedługo po swoim niefortunnym upadku zabrała głos w mediach społecznościowych i uspokoiła widzów. „Kochani, w związku z moim upadkiem na pięknej scenie „Big Brothera” ogłaszam wszem i wobec: żyję i mam się dobrze. Pozdrawiam” – poinformowała za pośrednictwem InstaStories.
